C.A.M.P. Wolf Pack at North Carolina State
The Collegiate Achievement Mentoring Program at NC State, aka “C.A.M.P.Pack", is a leadership mentoring program where collegiate students serve as mentors to students at AB Combs Leadership Magnet Elementary School.
C.A.M.P.Pack is based on the successful model developed at the University of Florida (www.C.A.M.P. gator.com) and is the first such program to be implemented in the state of North Carolina. C.A.M.P.Pack hopes to replicate the success of previous C.A.M.P.programs with increases in student achievement, student leadership skills and college awareness. C.A.M.P.Pack components such as a leadership curriculum based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey and experiential activities including collegiate campus visits, hope to instill a sense of confidence and a belief that one can succeed now... and in the future.
